not able to install any version 2 on version 1

Hi

I have an m5stamp c3U and tryig to install THE ESP32 ON A MAC USING Arduino IDE.

I can install version 1.08 but cannot install any version 2
I get a message
Tool esp32:mkspiffs@0.2.3 already installed
Downloading packages
esp32:esp32@2.0.4

Follow the instructions here. Replace any previous URL you may have for the esp32 source.
If it still will not install, try to uninstall first, then install the newer version. Arduino IDE must be at least version 1.6.4.
