@jorgen: merged your changes and refactored a bit, use menuconfig to activate the Merus backend. Btw., any chance you can send me schematics on how to wire up your amp, now that I have the necessary software support? I'm curious.

@rudi: made a slight tweak to buffering behaviour, mobile phone might work now

Hi Buddy
Nice call - moving audio configuration to the menuconfig setup tool - very handy. And code works out of the box.
Yes - I will send you a diagram for wiring up our amp. Do you have the small demo board or our evk - cannot recall what I send you? Small demoboard is 4x5cm - evk is 7x8cm with banan for PVDD.

Yeah I noticed that too, I'm filling the DMA queue with silence which helps a bit but not completely, I'm missing something. Also I wasn't sure how much of that is due to the I2S codec I'm using, which e.g. makes a pop when the sample rate changes. But now with the DAC working properly I can test that better.
..

Not sure if I understood you - are you working on adding A2DP support? Pull requests are always welcome, wanted to add that anyway, but most of my free time goes to finishing the Alexa client currently.

sry for delay, mike - thank you!
i will test this on weekend detailed.

btw:
yes work on A2DP general support ( SBC decoding and other Stream decoding's ) and would be nice If we have SBC decoding as additional decoder have available -

good work on it mike - with menuconfig - and all is configable light
now :)

best wishes

Not sure if you noticed this, but since I saw you editing the wifi config directly in source code - you can set the credentials in menuconfig as well using the "Wifi Configuration" menu.

yeap - cause i do not cut the live video ( want show this in the playerconfig.h ;-) but had "Stage Fright" in this moment ;-) )
this is in the video text:
in the video pos
https://youtu.be/XGwcBt2DSs0?t=341

is shown the config for SSID and PASSWD
this is only for the video compulsory

you can set this in menuconfig
https://youtu.be/XGwcBt2DSs0?t=221

or if you not use the menuconfig setup
you can set this in playerconfig.h directly.

I need to do a bit more investigating, but it seems like using the internal DAC mode only outputs mono audio. I have a separate project which synthesizes audio samples, and if I only send audio to the left channel, I hear silence, and if I only send audio to the right channel, I hear both channels. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Any ideas what's wrong?

I only got a mono output hooked up, so I never noticed. Kinda assumed that audio on both DAC pins meant things were working as they should.
@Espressif: any idea?

@mike
just in time tested with I2S,
am happy with the DAC PCM5102A
and it is cheap, very cheap. PA and DSP comes this days .. will update the things here next week,
cause we are in vacation this week.
