Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an open-source project called WebScreen, a compact gadget that sits on your monitor (like a webcam) and helps keep important notifications, reminders, or live updates visible without distractions. It runs on an ESP32-S3 with an AMOLED screen, and you can even create custom apps for it using JavaScript.
Right now, we’re actively building applications for WebScreen and working on refining the firmware. We’ve open-sourced everything—including the schematics, firmware, and client software—so anyone can explore and contribute.
We’re also running a Crowd Supply campaign to help bring it to more users. If you’re interested, you can check out the details here: https://www.crowdsupply.com/hw-media-lab/webscreen
More details, updates, and technical deep dives are on our blog: https://hwlab.io/blog/webscreen or visit https://webscreen.cc
If anyone has ideas for cool apps or integrations, let me know! Happy to discuss and share more details.
Cheers,
Eleo
