Hello - I successfully installed the ESP-IDF plugin, and I am able to load example programs, and program them through the UART port.
I am using the ESP32-S3-DEVKITC-1 development board.
When trying to debug via JTAG using the USB port, I get several different errors when trying to start OpenOCD
The first one was:
Error: esp_usb_jtag: could not find or open device!
Looking through the configuration file, it wanted a VID/PID of 0x303A and 0x1002, but when I looked in the device manager, the VID/PID of the device instantiating was 0x303A and 0x1001 (not 0x1002).
Changing the config file to match the PID allowed it to go further, but then I got the following error:
Error: libusb_get_string_descriptor_ascii() failed[OpenOCD]
I tried using Zadic to switch between the Windows Driver and libusb, but the error remains
I also tried different board configs for the esp32S3, but they all had the same issue.
Is the USB debugging not working on this part? or should I try an external JTAG adapter? Thank you for any help on this.

Hi,
did you solve the problem? where is the config file to be found?
I have the same problem and I am super frustrated...
Best regards from Germany
