Need information like when ESP32 BT Stack will be certified

Hi Espressif Systems Developer,

Does anyone has any informations like when ESP32 BT Stack will be certified as we are planning to use ESP32 WiFi and BT in one of our product and we need to decide like which ESP32 IDF means ESP-IDF Prerelease v3.1-beta1 or ESP32 3.2 dev can be used for our development purpose.

Let me know if need any information from my side regarding this.

Hello Ritesh, if you look here https://www.espressif.com/en/certificates you will see the ESP32 and most ESP32 modules have been Bluetooth certified. You can also search for "Espressif" on the Bluetooth SIG website https://launchstudio.bluetooth.com/List ... 1534001699

As far as I know that Bluetooth stack itself is not certified though chip or module is certified.

Might be Espressif Developer can have idea regarding this and can provide more details for this.

I think it has been published into 2017 but still in process to gets certified.

You may want to contact the Bluetooth SIG about the qualification process; my understanding is that to have your end product qualified if it's based on a module that is already qualified, you can refer to the module's QDID and therefore skip the testing. https://www.bluetooth.com/develop-with- ... on-listing

As I have checked that stack has been published on 13/01/2017 and there are lots of changes have been done into Bluetooth stack itself. So, Need confirmation like is it ok or need to re-certify it again as there are so many changes are done from BLE and Bluetooth Classic stack perspective.

EPL needs to reference QDL for Controller Subsystem, Host, and Profiles. You are correct that Host listing is very out of date and may not be updated until Bluetooth stack is stable and feature complete. There are also no Profile certifications but maybe they will also be added when stack is complete.

Do you have any tentative timeline or schedule like when Bluetooth Stack will be stable and will be certified as per latest stack? Because we are planning to use Bluetooth BLE and Classic into few of our products and we need some clarifications like when Bluetooth Stack will be certified fully to go ahead with that.

We got the bluetooth dual-mode host certificate this afternoon, so we have both the controller and host certificate(include profiles, like A2DP/HFP/SPP/Some GATT-Base profiles), please take a look at it. Both of the Dual-mode host component and subsystem, more flexible for customer do their BQB reference to ESP32 and ESP-IDF.
