ESP-WIFI-MESH root node's upstream Ethernet connection

Hello all,

I am writing to seek assistance and suggest new feature development for the issue I encountered while working on my project. I want to use ESP-WIFI-MESH component to connect ESP32-S3-WROOM-1U nodes to the gateway which represents the fixed root node. The gateway shall be based on ESP-Ethernet-Kit. My main goal is to make the gateway wired connected to the PC, using Ethernet connection. Using ESP-IDF 5.2.1, this is not possible. Only available solution of the root node’s upstream connection is with the WiFi router. I want to use Ethernet for root node’s upstream connection and proprietary protocol. Can anyone advise me on how to resolve this issue I have with the ESP-WIFI-MESH component?
