Hello Folks,
Please forgive a newbie question, I am new to the ESP community.
I would like to use CANbus on my ESP32 project. If I search for CAN bus along with the ESP32, I find some examples and info but it's in V3.3 of the reference...
https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... s/can.html
I have downloaded the latest version and there is no mention of it there...
https://docs.espressif.com/projects/esp ... index.html
Please can someone explain the state of CAN in the latest IDF?
Thanks,
Andy
Is CANbus (Controller Area Network) supported in the IDF?

Look for TWAI, it‘s an implementation of CAN. That said, the ESP family contains a pretty old controller design and while it works well for many simple applications, for more complex requirements you may want to integrate an external controller into your design.
