BLE MESH: First time developing with BLE (MESH) and microcontrollers

Hello everyone, we are a group of students and despite having some basic skills developing in C/C++(and BLE theoretical concepts), we are very confused about how we should start implementing a BLE mesh network with multiple servers and clients, which will read MAC id's from beacons and then redirect it to a database. We've seen some examples from espressif's Git Hub, but we apparently have to use one feature from more than one example script.
