IDF V5.0 TCP Socket Client Memory Leak

Hi,

In IDF V5.0, When I create this task more than 1, my heap starts to leak dramatically.
In IDF V4.4 there is no such leak. Works great.

My purpose;
create socket->do job->close socket;
but it should be asynchronous.

It seems TCP enter in TIME-WAIT state, it neend about2 miniutes to free the resources. And SO_LINGER socket option you set not take effect. You need first enable CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER by menuconfig.

Because in IDF v4.4, the lwip core will auto-free the time-wait state TCP pcb when TCP pcb number over the max TCP pcb number in https://github.com/espressif/esp-lwip/b ... cp.c#L1898. This function is removed in IDF 5.0.

But when i enable `CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER `, it works normal in IDF v5.0. If not enable it, the momery will redouce due to TCP PCB in time-wait state.

That's new information to me.
So in v5.x if CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER=n it has risk running out of socket?
If I want to keep the same (or similar) behavior as v4.x, I should set CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER=y in v5.x, right?
If so, please document this in 4.x-> 5.x migration-guides.

In IDF v5.x, it will not run out of socket. It will leave lots of TIME-WAIT state TCP pcb when CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER=n, which will occupy lots of memory. This TIME-WAIT TCP pcb may auto-recyle after 120s(2 * CONFIG_LWIP_TCP_MSL). Set CONFIG_LWIP_SO_LINGER=y will not appear TIME-WAIT state TCP pcb. I will report this difference to internal and talk about how to make the behavior the same with v4.x.

This was my "sdkconfig" file. I don't know why but no matter what I do with the config, I couldn't prevent the time-wait state in IDF V5.0
