ESP SPI Ram (PSRAM) missing from sdk config options

I have the ESP32-s3-n8r8 and am trying to configure the ESP-IDF for it. Per the documentation the setting should be here in the SDK configuration under hardware settings but alas it is not there. Nor does it appear in any of the other sections either and can't be found in the ESP-IDF command/shell. Can someone please throw a little guidance on what I should do in regards to this.
