"terminated" message

Hi,

I'm new to this, and just installed the esp-idf eclipse and tried to create and build a gpio sample project.

When I build the project everything goes OK.
But when I launch in Run mode, it comes with a "terminated" message and I can't understand what's wrong.

Please see the attached picture: . . . ah . . . how do I upload pictures?

Can anybody help me?

Thanks.

You should be able to attach an image to the post.

You should be able to attach an image to the post.

THAT is absolutely no help at all.
Thanks for nothing!

A real help would be if you could point me where to go and what button to press to actually post an image in my post.
THAT would be a real help!

As it stands right now, with the tools provided by this forum, I press on the "Img" button and it comes back with this:

So,
What do I do with this?
Where is my picture going?
Why it has to be so complicated?

Upload your image to some shareable space and link its URI in the IMG tag in your post. For an example you can follow the forum manual or e.g. this example.

...it's the big gray button called 'attachments', see the attached image, hence me using the term 'attach'.

You upload an image, potentially push 'place inline' if you want to place it inline, and there you go. I hope that explanation is clear enough for you. I'd explain it in an even simpler fashion to you, but I seem to have misplaced my crayons.

uuups!
been so frustrated by my problem that I've seen problems everywhere.

I have since fixed my problem by clicking on a greyed-out button - yes the ones that if you see them greyed you KNOW you cannot access them and modify anything within them.
So I clicked this and lo and behold I could change and set my COM port to the right value; and everything started working.

Ah, I can imagine that's frustrating indeed; stuff like that happens to the best of us. Glad you got it working!
