esp32 mesh, internet server on node

Good morning,
i would like to setup an esp32-mesh network with one master-node being connected to the internet.
The master-node could hook up to internet via cable or wifi(router accesspoint)
as i understand, each node of the mesh network then can have internet access, ie. requesting connections to somewhere.
However, if one of the nodes is having an internet server, can it be reached?
This would require some kind of routing table mapping a server-ip to node address.
Has this ever been done?
