Hi,
I am pretty new to esp32, though I have done several things using arduino and esp8266....
For purposes of home automation I want to program a esp32 (nodemcu) to periodically "ping" bluetooth devices (presence scan).
Unfortunately my mobile phone (redmi note 10) is only found by bt-scan when I am in pairing mode.
I tried the example-sketch from arduino-esp32 bluetoothserial and it works so far.
I can pair the phone and it is also found if I am in the bt-settings.
Is there a way to "ping" paired devices from esp32 to see if they are in range?
Best regards and thanks in advance,
Otto

Re: arduino esp32 and bluetooth-"ping"
Hi, just wondering if you were able to find a solution to your problem. I'm trying to do exactly the same thing and am finding just about nothing in the way of examples.
Thanks,
