esp32-at app hangs after boot

Ok, I'll pencil this down for after my Easter break... begins to make sense, thanks mate.

I tried a few more things with esp32-at, added a capacitor between the 3V3 and Ground at the Devkit pins powered from USB. Noticed it hangs on a different way but neither works... Supply in the Devkit board may not be perfect.
Finally I restarted with the 'myapp' template and everything works fine. Already got my feet wet with ESP32. Wonder what's wrong with the AT example. Hopefully a buggy IDF.
