Eclipse Debugging: cannot set breakpoints

Hi,

I am trying to learn how to debug the ESP32 in Eclipse. I am following this debugging guide to learn some basic examples. I got to the section "Setting and clearing breakpoints" and tried to set a couple of breakpoints in the code. For the record, I am using the "hello_world" example provided by ESP-IDF (master branch).

It appears the breakpoints are added just fine, but when I resume the program, it skips right over both breakpoints. Does anybody know why this happens? I tried using plain old command-line GDB to add breakpoints and the program hit those just fine.
