ESP32 driver on Linux Embedded

Postby LucaToso » Wed Mar 28, 2018 2:53 pm

Hello,

I wanted to ask if is planned a driver release for ESP32 for embedded Linux?
We have a custom device with iMX6 CPU and we need to to use esp32-wroom like a transparent WIFI and BT Bridge o access point to extern world and Linux itself.
We prefered to use Esp32-Wroom Module because we need both Wifi and Bluetooth.

If no driver release is planned, how we can manage this connection?

We found on web a possible solution for Bluetooth which it use a VHCI bridge between Linux and Espressif ESP32, but for Wifi we don't figure out any solution.

Our embedded Linux device has this features:
Kernel Linux 4.1.15;
Possible connection on board with Esp32-Wroom UART and SPI.
