SoftAP authentication failure

Postby Emma_S » Wed Dec 19, 2018 7:30 am

We are using the ESP-WROOM-32 on our boards and running esp32-at with ESP-IDF version 2.1.1. In a recent batch of boards, we experienced problems with some of them: we were unable to connect to their SoftAP:s, receiving an authentication failure. When queried through the serial interface they echoed back the correct SSID and password configuration. The rest of the boards worked fine.

Re-flashing resolved the problem on one board, but not another. A workaround was to change the SSID or password, then change it back again.

In this thread, ESP_Angus mentions an issue where "bad calibration data (possibly left over from a previous flag) can cause WiFi to misbehave":

Could this be related to the issue we are seeing? Is there a fix available? Not knowing the cause we are worried that it will happen again, in the field.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
