Wi-Fi provisioning issue using Espbluefi

Postby ashish.agraval » Wed Jun 06, 2018 1:56 pm

Hi

We are design services company, based in India, using ESP32 Devkit C for one of the product development for US based customer. For prototyping, we are using EspBlufi application for Wi-Fi provisioning. I am facing 2 issues as described below:

Issue#1:
- First time, I have been able to configure SSIS & Password successfully. Next time, when I reboot the device, it automatically connected with configured AP (I have configured setting to be stored in FLASH in ESP-IDF example code). If I open Espblufi application to reconfigure it with new SSID & Password, I do not see ESP-DEVICE detected on the application. I am using ESP-IDF SDK with commit ID "358c822d6a29c8f881fd2fbbb100ec9fa9320596" dated@23rd May. Just for your information, if I use ESP-IDF SDK with commit ID "88d0d6ffb0863cf6bc1b59005078ea2184b28db0" dated@19th April, I can see ESP-DEVICE detected in mobile application and can re-configure new SSID & Password successfully. Any thought, why does this happen only with old SDK and not with latest one?

Issue#2:
- When I try to execute above scenario (described in Issue#1 above) with old SDK ("88d0d6ffb0863cf6bc1b59005078ea2184b28db0" dated@19th April), I can reconfigure SSID & Password using Espblufi mobile application installed on my mobile for couple of days. After that, when I try to do so, it throws an error - "88d0d6ffb0863cf6bc1b59005078ea2184b28db0". But at the same time, if I install Espblufi application on different mobile, I can reconfigure SSID & Password perfectly. Any thoughts why does this happen? Does ESP32 stored mobile device identity and restrict it to reconfigure the credentials multiple times?

Requesting you to please share your response to above issues so that I can complete POC quickly and can move towards final product development.

Thanks
Ashish

Hi
Correcting error message in my earlier post

After that, when I try to do so, it throws an error - "discover write characteristic failed".

Thanks
Ashish
