I have received a notification email from Espressif indicating a new release 2.1.1. In Github appears as the latest version https://github.com/espressif/esp-idf/releases, I have updated following the instructions on the page the esp-idf and I have updated the toolchain, but when compiling an app there are enough functions that don't recognize me (heap_caps_check_integrity_all, esp_restart... etc).
I also don't understand why the ESP-IDF Programming Guide doesn't appear as the latest release http://esp-idf.readthedocs.io/en/v2.1.1 ... setup.html. I have compared the latest release and release 2.1.1 in the documentation and there are many things that change, including Heap Memory Allocation from the API Guide.
So, what's really the latest release? Why is it that upgrading to version 2.1.1 doesn't recognize so many functions?
Please, see if anyone can explain it to me.
Greetings,
Release v2.1.1
Re: Release v2.1.1
Hi.
Its because there is difference between latest version and latest released version. Latest version is current version that dev team is working on (its version 3.0-pre release), and the latest release version is latest stable version.
