Hi Forum!
My configuration uses the combined RTC & High Resolution Timer for the System Time.
I do not have any Sleep Modes in use.
I am using an ESP32S2.
I have a scenario where i have to keep a fairly accurate system time (over days, maybe even weeks) without being able to perform another NTP Sync.
The HRT matches this accuracy requirement but none of the Oscillator configs for the RTC do.
I am wondering what happens in detail when the ESP32 performs a reset (no power reset, so the RTC keeps running).
So far i see that i still have a fairly accurate system time after these types of reset, but i am not able to perform long running tests at the moment. Hence the question:
Are both time sources (RTC and High Resolution Timer) running independently or do they sync at regular intervals or even before a reset (e.g. via RTC Memory) ?
If they do not sync i have to assume that after a reset i have the higher time drift from the RTC.
