Hi all,
I have been Using Arduino IDE for sometime to program the ESP32 devkits, neverthless i came across this beetle ESP32-C3 mini dev kit by DFRobot. I am using ESP-IDF program this particular one. After Programming, when i am trying to use the serial monitor i am not able to use it, as it says USB CDC enable, i am not sure this function, what it does mean.
But in Arduino IDE, there is a option do this , in the UI
With this enabled i am able to use the serial monitor, and also this feature works in arduino ide, but in esp-idf, how to use this feature, if anybody have any in sight on this please let me know.
Basicaly how to use the serial monitor to sent data via USB to read or write function for this module in ESP-IDF.
Any help may be of greatful. Thanks and regards

Re: Programming Beetle ESP32 - C3 in ESP-IDF
By default (given your esp-idf version is not super old) you should get output on the USB-serial-JTAG port. What terminal program do you use? If you use 'idf.py monitor', do you get the same effect?
Re: Programming Beetle ESP32 - C3 in ESP-IDF
Hi @ESP_Sprite,
I am using ESP-IDF v5.O , and What all I get to see in the menu config for USB CDC is this(images attached below), And finally when I open the Idf.py Monitor, I am not able to send any input comments "eg: SCAN" via serial communication. What I am surprised is , in Arduino IDE, if USB CDC on Boot is Enabled, then the serial outputs are Visible, and if it is disabled, not able to see any in the screen same as idf monitor. So there should be a way around for the same like Arduino IDE in the ESP-IDF , and I trying to understand that. PFA for the images of Same.
