Does the panic handler trigger mcpwm fault state?

Postby moefear85 » Wed Mar 08, 2023 2:14 pm

Hello,

I usually configure the esp32 to halt on panic, so I have time to read the error messages and avoid endless loops that often result if I just let it restart. However, this raises concerns for some peripherals, such as mcpwm. Does the panic handler of the esp32 automatically make the mcpwm go into fault mode? If it doesn't, then in some cases, since the system is no longer controlling, this can lead to damage to the connected power stage.

If the handler doesn't do this, is there any way to hook into the handler or modify it to turn off the mcpwm manually?

The search function on esp32.com is currently down, so sorry if this is a repost.
