Hi, I'm trying to enable secure boot, and wondering whether I can use secure boot V2.
docs.espressif.com says:
"This document is about Secure Boot V2, supported on the following chips: ESP32 (ECO3 onwards), ESP32-S2, ESP32-S3, ESP32-C3 (ECO3 onwards), and ESP32-C2. Except for ESP32, it is the only supported Secure Boot scheme."
When downloading firmware, I see:
Connecting....
Chip is ESP32-D0WD-V3 (revision 3)
At boot, my bootloader says:
I (27) boot: ESP-IDF v4.4-dirty 2nd stage bootloader
I (27) boot: compile time 08:16:44
I (27) boot: chip revision: 3
I (30) boot_comm: chip revision: 3, min. bootloader chip revision: 0
I'm confident it's an ESP32 (not -S2, -S3, etc).
How does "D0WD-V3" relate to "ECO3"?
Are they both "revision 3"?
Should I just set "Component config → ESP32-specific → Minimum Supported ESP32 Revision" to "Rev 3"? (currently it's "Rev 1" and Secure boot V2 is not available)
And where can I find a comprehensive list of all the different hardware revisions so I can understand the order / terminology / how they relate to each other?

Re: Chip Version Confusion
Yes, chip rev 3 / V3 is ECO3.
