ESP32 in-package flash vs off-package flash

Lets say I want to build a pcb with a ESP32-S3 with the QFN package, but I don't want to add a spi flash ic because of bom and whatever reason.

The esp32-s3 datasheet says on chapter 1.2, table 1-1 ESP32-S3 Series Comparison, that the different series have following flashes

Does that mean that I would have to pick either the ESP32-S3FN8 or ESP32-S3FH4R2 because their flash is integrated into the QFN package?
If I would choose ESP32-S3 / ESP32-S3R2 / ESP32-S3R8 / ESP32-S3R8V, I would have to include a SPI flash on my pcb. Is that right?
