I am using a esp32doit-devkit-v1 with Arduino framework, with a straightforward breadboard project, using Platform IO.
Yesterday all was working fine. Today when I sat down to continue development, I am no longer able to upload the code to the board via USB.
I have rebooted both the project and the PC. It is possible that I upgraded VS Code yesterday and didn't think to test the building afterwards. Other than that possibility I didn't touch the PC until this failure first occurred.
What might this be caused by? I rolled back VS Code to Sept 22 release - that didn't change anything.
Recommendations? Things were going so well for weeks!

Re: ESP32 Timed out waiting for packet content
I found that the devkit was somehow toasted (used to work). I built up another breadboard with a new devkit and it works. I.e. it was a hardware problem.
