LAN8720A with reset pin low - does it stop the clock?

Is LAN8720A suitable for this method? I read the datasheet, but I cannot see if its clock output is stopped when its reset pin is low.

Using PSRAM in ESP32 WROVER E, custom PCB.

Alternatively can anyone recommend a reliable ethernet phy that is available in 1000 qty?

Unfortunately, LAN8720 does not stop CLK when in reset. Please see discussion at https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/pull/6188 for more details.

Thanks, that information resulted in us going for IP101GRI to avoid this problem.
