ESP Prog JTAG ESP32 WROOM 32D Connection issue

Hello Community,
I have worked successfully with the ESP PROG so far. (PLATFORMIO and ESP32 DEV kits). Now I have created my own circuit board and I can no longer program the ESP32 over JTAG.
Question 1: Does a new ESP32 chip have to flash a firmware first?
I have planned a JTAG connection and serial communication on my board. (As the ESP Prog brings it with it).
Now I thought to myself, I could now program my ESP32 via the PROG connection or flash a firmware.
But I can't get the driver installed correctly for this. A DUAL RS323-HS is recognized but no virtual protocols are assigned.
Question 2: Does anyone have experience there and can help me to correctly install the driver for both interfaces so that two COMs are available?
What I tested so far: reinstalling FTDI drivers of esp prog many times. No effect at all. (Windows 10)
