Protecting ESP32 from hanging in an industrial project

Hi,

I`m creating a controller with an ESP32 DevKit V4 baseboard. The controller will be used in the industrial project.

Does the internal WatchDog work well? Or is it worth using external protection?
Maybe someone came across this when developing commercial projects and knows good protection options?
