However, the fast-charger in china maybe not very reliable. One of my Bluetooth ear-pods, the package said that do not use the fast charger. I think issues that fast-charger damage ear-pods often happens.

I installed the AMS1117 with a 330 uF cap across the output and it still doesn't work. Seems like it should, maybe it has to do with this ESP32 board I have some others on order. I do notice that the red LED flickers a bit, maybe as it's drawing current it dips the power although when I put a meter on the 3.3v it's steady. I did have this working, not with the battery power, with a Arduino Nano. I use a RTC for the sleep mode. I'm going to try getting that to work again too see if that will work using the battery. It won't have the WiFi for ThingSpeak but I could connect the home base unit for that.
