Emitted heat from esp32 afftects High Precision Temperature sensor

Postby mustaqim » Thu May 19, 2022 5:28 am

Hi,
I am using BLE and wifi of esp32 chip and I have a high precision temperature sensor in my application.
I can see my temperature sensor reading is increased by some offset after sometime the device is powered on.
I can feel negligible amount of heat on the microcontroller.
My question is, Is it the emitted heat from the esp32 affecting the temperature sensor reading. My temp sensor is kept outside the casing and esp32 is inside, the distance between the two is around 40-50cm. Also there are are cuts in my casing.

Any help is appreciated.

That is impossible for us to as as we don't know your design, sorry.
