I have some older versions of this board:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QDFP3W
they work fine.
I bought some new ones, from 2 sources, and the red power LED keeps flashing at high speed when powered through USB. I think it's probably complaining about the lipo plugged into the port, except there is none, which is maybe what it's complaining about.
I haven't found a good way to contact lolin, so I'm asking here in case anyone knows.

The led is connected to TP4054 CHRG pin. With no battery connected, maybe it is doing the "charge complete / AC present" indicator of 20uA pull down.
Are you seeing a bright flash or very dim?
Maybe your usb port is doing something like switching on and off due to light load. Do different lolin boards show different led patterns?
Also there is another led on IO5, could that be the one you're seeing?

Thanks for the reply. I'm seeing a bright flash. I get this on all 8 of my newer D32 Pros. It may be an issue/change with V2.0 and I probably had some V1.x before. It flashes between 6 and 8 times per second at fixed interval.becorey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 16, 2021 7:30 amThe led is connected to TP4054 CHRG pin. It is not the LED connected to IO5, the red LED flashes before any code has even had time to start, as soon as power is plugged in.

to close the loop, it's a change from the manufacturer, I think i'ts an unfortunate change, but it is what it is.
