Use USB Serial to communicate but not power ESP

Postby bgondell » Fri Jun 26, 2020 10:24 pm

It's possible to use an USB cable to communicate and program ESP32 but not to power it? Circuit is external powered, but when I connect USB to program and debug, circuit voltaje raises up to 4,4 volts. Components of the circuit can manage this voltaje, but I can not calibrate since power is use as reference for many sensors.
Thanks in advance!!

In general, yes, that is possible. You probably want to know if it's possible to do this on your specific devboard, and we can't tell you that without knowing what devboard you use.

Hi,
Please identify which ESP32 board you are using. Does it has integrated USB Interface?
