Hello,
I am using ESP in Sparkfun Module ESP 32 thing.
I had come upon a concerning failure a few times.
The component was in the oven in 85°C and I was using it and another ESP32 as client and server, respectively.
After the server was set up as AP and the client tried to connect the client got stuck.
I noticed that lowering the voltage to the ESP32 thing and causing brown-out solves it.
The phenomena I described happened a few times. Do you have any idea what causes it?
Best Regards,
Eli

Re: Failure in ESP
No clue, but note that while the ESP32 supports a very wide temperature range, other parts (flash, LDO, ...) may not be specced for 85C.
Re: Failure in ESP
I also recreated the phenomena in room temperature. It seems statistical and doesn't have to do with temperature.
Any ides to why this can happen?

Re: Failure in ESP
Hard to say, your problem as it is at the moment is 'the ESP32 stops working sometimes'; you'd need to be a lot more detailed before we can help you figure out what the issue is. Obvious first question: can you get the same results on a different devboard? (Either a 2nd Thing or something entirely different)
Re: Failure in ESP
I could not get the same result from a different board(thing or other).
I would be glad to provide any other needed details.

Re: Failure in ESP
Then my guess would be that your board is broken somehow
