ESP32 P4 EV Kit touch not working
Hello. Recently received the ESP32 P4 EV Kit through Aliexpress Espressif factory store. Just now, kitted up the parts after watching a YT video. Powered the LCD & main board using 2 USB type C cables. The graphics on the LCD are working fine but unable to touch any of the icons to launch the actual demos. Any suggestions on what may be wrong? The cabling looks to be snug. The touch controller is on the LCD and assuming the CTP controller is communicating through the MIPI DSI connector over I2C. Have not yet reviewed the schematics. Thanks.

I had the same issue, It started to work as soon as I attached the camera, too.

You can try compiling and downloading the latest project (https://github.com/espressif/esp-dev-ki ... esia_phone) to resolve the issue where the screen touch function is unavailable due to the CAMERA not being inserted.

im not sure if there is anything changed in that devkit hardware recently, but i am using devkit for about 6 months and i dont need to plug in camera to use touch screen.
All you have to do is few jumper wires and p4 bsp component.

I dont see reason why would you need to connect camera to use touchscreen.

Thanks for all the comments. Just now triple checked the cabling and no fault found.
1) How to reflash the firmware?
2) Is there a pre-compiled firmware available that will restore the touch?
Otherwise need to return this EVKIT as a DOA through Aliexpress. Thanks.

Thank you (recursively)!! The posted firmware now works with the TOUCH on my evkit.
The camera fails with a light blue screen. Logs report the camera cannot be found.
Could this be due to the v1.0 of the ESP32-P4 chip that is onboard? I recall asking for the latest silicon.
