Hi all!
We made a from scratch PCB using ESP32-C3 as our SOC. By accident we ordered the prototype with ESP32-C3FN4, but that didn't really matter all that much, other than that we had to remove our external flash to make it work.
The board has two antenna's and uses a switch (XA17-G4K) to select between the two antenna's. We have this to offer external antenna support through an SMA connector. We are planning on using the ESP32-C3 power to automatically select between the two antenna options. We know Bluetooth does not support dual antenna, so when we use BLE we force the use of the internal antenna by disabling the switch and locking it to the internal antenna.
The WiFi part seems to work great, the signal strength works well and we are able to connect to the network and send data over the internet. Typical RSSI is about -50DB to -60DB. However, we are unable to get Bluetooth provisioning to work. It works fine on our development board.
We ran the BLE ADV/Scan example, but this also yielded no visible Bluetooth devices. What could possibly be the issue that causes BLE to not work? Any advice on debugging this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
