The ESP32 is a popular choice for IoT projects, offering dual-core processing, Bluetooth (including BLE), Wi-Fi connectivity, and GPIO pins.

There are some alternatives too. The Raspberry Pi is a versatile and widely supported development board that offers dual-core processing, Bluetooth and BLE (5.0), Wi-Fi connectivity, audio input/output capabilities, and GPIO pins for button inputs. It has excellent community support and a wide range of compatible accessories.

What Raspberry are we talking about?
The Raspberry Pi runs a full Linux and can be programmed in almost any language you can think of, from C to Python, JavaScript or Java. It won't get much easier than that.
