Dear Folks

Espressif - the Shanghai-based single-chip WLAN and IoT solutions specialist - and Elektor International Media, the publisher of the Elektor international electronics magazine, have reached an agreement on an international competition for Espressif's new ESP32 flagship product closed.


The competition is expected to start in early 2018. Espressif is supporting the competition with the brand new ESP32-Pico-D4 module, which is currently being finalized.


"ESP32 Pico modules will be donated to reputable competitors for free," said an Elektor spokesman. "The contest can start right once the boards arrive," he added.

In addition to the competition, the agreement also includes an important media partnership and makes Elektor an official Espressif reseller.




The founder of Espressif, Teo Swee Ann, signed the agreement with Elektor publisher Ferdinand te Walvaart.

Would you please provide some more details regarding this ESP32 Pico mdules? It has been released by Espressif Systems or not?

Would you please provide some more details about competition and can we participate into that event? If yes then what is the procedure for that?

Can I get that module or board as sample?

ESP32-PICO-KIT is a new FCC Application

ESP32 PICO is a SIP, it was showed last weeks, and here an other ESP32 PICO Board, and you have a chance to become sample, have a try here, not sure, are they all out now or perhabs one two reserved.

ESP32 PICO is a SIP, it was showed last weeks, and here an other ESP32 PICO Board, and you have a chance to become sample, have a try here, not sure, are they all out now or perhabs one two reserved.

yes, i think this is the best way.
but be soft warned
espressif did expand the office - and they have expand office more over 1000m² ( 3000m²) now and they organice just in time office.
move and set up within the office, It can take time and delays, which are fully utilized at the time.

the event productronica, in which elektor wanted do giveaway the ESP32-Pico-Kit boards was in past ( 14. to 17. Nov 2017 ).
You must contact John Lee for a sample.

The "giveaway" free ESP32-Pico-Kits for the international ESP32 competition thats starts in Winter,
there is a note on webside now: * The free board must be requested via a web form. Only while stocks last.

Not sure, was the 1000 ESP32-Pico-Kit boards on the event lively available or offer for free coupon like the ESP32 DevKitC or a pre request via web form for the competition in 2018. I did not visit the event cause i was at other at this time. i read on 1. NOV 2017 without the web form. the origin post was from 1.Nov and it was read, that there are 1000 boards lively available without web form registry.


More details follows then in 2018 ( just in time Details are not yet announced sry. )



FYI the next productronica is in china ( 14. to 16. March 2018 ) , india ( 26. to 28. Sept 2018 ), munic (DE) (13. to 16. Nov 2018 ).

if you can't wait/get PICO Sample, here is an offer for the ESP32 PICO KIT Dev Board.
