tl;dr Executive Summary: The S3 appears to have sensitivity relative to the antenna placement. Operation dramatically improves if you move the antenna further from the ESP32-S3. The issue might be reflected power from an impedance mismatch, or just near-field radiative coupling. Don't have that last...
