I am seeing that exact same error. I am not trying to reboot into DFU but rather in to serial download mode. My app is using TinyUSB if that makes any difference. I am trying to get my OTG app (TinyUSB) to reboot into SERIAL/JTAG bootload mode on my ESP32-S3. I am using the 5.0 branch of IDF.
