Seems there is more than one software load I can upload to my ESP32-cam. I want to run off a solar/battery - which software will use the lowest current draw. Or does it matter? Thanks

OK, so I've read that a ESP32-cam draws 180mAh. If I use a 30000ma solar battery bank (amazon $25) my math says 166 hours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uz-YrfaSO8 says by using 2 18650 batteries he get 24h+.

If I wanted to construct a solar powered ESP32-CAM - how much battery would I need to last all night? And has anyone already invented this wheel?

There's a package, Zoneminder, a open-source video surveillance software system. It allows you to describe an area of the image to alarm on, how long to record, to send a message. Some time back I set up a Raspberry Pi Cam, added it to Zoneminder and it just worked. I'm now trying to get a ESP32-CAM...
