Is there a good way to connect dozens of slaves to one master and send data from master to slaves.

So I have been trying to make an app that can control gpio pins on esp32, but I can't make it so that the webpage loads in the background(currently it opens a new chrome webpage), I have also tried using Webview but that doesn't work.
